All that ends well begins well. So this year, which has passed, 2025 has brought you many gifts and many lessons. Everything is evolutionary. That's how we should see it. You had moments when you didn't want ‘that’ to happen, but it has happened somewhere. And, all those happenings have brought you some strength, some wisdom, some depth in you. Acknowledge that, instead of resisting and pushing something away or sweeping it under the carpet. We recognize what we need to do and move on.
All happenings, all the outside happenings are not you. You are separate from that.
All the good things that have happened, bad things that have happened, things you like that have happened, you didn't want to happen. Well, that is how the world is. And now, stepping back and seeing all this, you have become stronger, richer, wiser, right? Foolish people, what they do, they get embroiled in it; they keep regretting the past. That regret will bring more
anxiousness for the future, and they suffer the whole time.
What do the wise, a saddak, or a spiritual seeker do? They say, Oh, that's what has happened.
Okay, don’t regret anything that has happened, nor be anxious about what may happen in the future—got it? So if we can learn to see things with this vision, then we have won. Nobody can take the smile away from you. No situation can put you down. That is the whole purpose of the spiritual path that you are on—the whole idea of why you are here—why you do all that you are doing, why you do meditation, all that. All, so you can see reality from a different plane altogether.
And this year, 2025, has brought much scientific evidence to this effect. So even if there is a little doubt in the mind, science has helped you to shun that. This is a great step forward.
The science of quantum mechanics, when it came to the quantum field and all that knowledge, opened the eyes of people. Oh wow, there is something more than what we think and know. All of this space is not really empty; it's full of energy. That's good enough to keep your spirit high.
Number one, say. “I'm so lucky.”
Second, “I'm here to do some good work. I've come to this world as a giver, not a taker.”
You know, a giver is independent. A taker is not. So, the fact that you know, I have come here to give, then your needs will be taken care of. Nature will take care of what you need. In fact, you will get more than what you need.
The world would like to see you as a generous, happy person right now. That's what you must radiate. You are radiating that already. You must resolve to do it more. I know you may have some moments of up and down in life. Never mind if one such moment steps into your mind. Just this resolute, this resolution in your mind, I'm here to do some good, I'm here to give something good, is needed.
And third, don't get frustrated. Oh, I'm here to do something good, but I'm not able to do it. That's not going to help either. Our minds are so tricky in any situation; they can create misery. We are experts in it. In the best of situations, we create our own misery. Our mind creates its own misery, its own shell, and it sits in it and keeps reeling and reeling and reeling about it. And then the mind finds everybody else is wrong, only I'm right. Right?
Know that the type of phase you have gone through in recent years has helped you sail through it all. All the practices and meditation have helped you get through it. But just the practice alone is not enough. Wisdom is also essential, along with the practice. Wisdom is listening to this knowledge.
Either you go the route of science or through spirituality, you converge at the same point that everything is nothing. This is all nothing, and then you become happy. When nothing matters, then you are happy. That does not mean you don't take responsibility. You take responsibility while keeping yourself above the rut.
Art of Living is entering its 45th year. See, so many miracles have happened to you all. How many times has it happened in the past year? You can share this with people so that those who are depressed or have lost hope can find some hope from you. You can tell people to get up and come on, get out of your small mind. All the pain and mind and depression, all that, you can just snap out of it [using the breath and meditation]. And that's what we are here for, right?
Step back and see. Be a witness to all that's happening. Not while you're acting. Not while you're working. That would be disastrous. After you finish every job, all the work, and before you start work, take a few minutes of absolute quietness, be silent, be a witness. But then, when you are acting, you must be 100% into that.
So, keep these resolutions in mind. Life is here, and there is no dearth of miracles; they keep happening. And they will happen more. Give that hope to everyone around you.
